The Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers (Spanish: Cámara Argentina de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas, CAPIF) is an Argentine organization member of the IFPI, which represents the music industry in the country. It is a nonprofit organization integrated by multinational and independent record labels.[2]

Sales certification

In January 1980, CAPIF gave the first certifications in gold and platinum. From that time until December 31, 2000, the criteria for certification were:[3]

The criteria for certification were changed as of January 1, 2001. CAPIF certification criteria for albums since that date are:

Compilation albums are not eligible for certification. Singles no longer certified in Argentina.
